Public Service Industrial Relations Guide 

We are pleased to publish the Public Service Industrial Relations Guide (the Guide). The Guide provides information on employment conditions applying to NSW Public Service employees and is based on content previously included in the Personnel Handbook.

Information contained within the Guide has been summarised from legislation, awards, agreements, determinations and policy guidelines to assist human resources and industrial relations practitioners in Public Service agencies. It provides a consolidated IR reference resource for the public service.

We will be regularly updating the Guide to include advice on emerging issues and to reflect changes in legislation and to reflect new precedents such as tribunal decisions on conditions of employment. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided we welcome advice on areas which require updating, correction, or would simply benefit from being revised to provide greater clarity.
